Consumer:Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis- type reactions, some of which have been life-threatening have been reported in patients using some injection iron products. Patients may present with shock, clinically significant hypotension, loss of consciousness, and/or collapse. These products should be administered cautiously, especially in patients with a history of significant allergies. Patients should be monitored during and at least 30 minutes after the administration. Epinephrine should be immediately available in the event of acute hypersensitivity reactions.
