Consumer:

There have been postmarketing reports of serious urinary tract infections, including urosepsis and pyelonephritis, requiring hospitalization in patients receiving SGLT2 inhibitors such as ertugliflozin. Treatment with SGLT2 inhibitors increases the risk for urinary tract infections; therefore, it is recommended to evaluate patients for signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections. Caution is recommended in patients with pyelonephritis or those with a history of recurrent urinary tract infections. Treat promptly as indicated.
