The use of clevidipine may produce systemic hypotension and reflex tachycardia. Dosage reduction may be necessary. There is limited experience with short-duration therapy with beta-blockers as a treatment for clevidipine -induced tachycardia; therefore, beta-blocker use for this purpose is not recommended. Close monitoring is recommended.
