Consumer:Patients with tachycardia should be supervised closely during treatment with anticholinergic agents. Tachycardia is produced by blocking normal vagal inhibition of the SA node. Paradoxically, bradycardia may occur due to central vagal stimulation which may occur prior to peripheral cholinergic blockade.
