Consumer:Each gram of anhydrous magnesium salicylate contains approximately 6.7 mEq of magnesium. Therapy with products containing magnesium salicylate should be avoided or administered cautiously in patients with renal impairment because of the risk of hypermagnesemia. The use of products containing magnesium salicylate is contraindicated in patients with chronic advanced renal impairment.
