Siltuximab and Renal impairment
Result of checking the interaction of drug Siltuximab and disease Renal impairment for safety when used together.
When checking interaction based on authoritative sources Drugs.com, Rxlist.com, Webmd.com, Medscape.com there are contraindications or side effects that may cause harm or increase the negative effect from drug use in presence of concomitant diseases.
Consumer:Based on a population pharmacokinetic analysis using data from clinical trials in patients, no significant difference in siltuximab clearance was observed in patients with preexisting renal impairment (creatinine clearance (CrCl) >=15 mL/min) compared to patients with baseline normal renal function (CrCl)>= 90 mL/min). No initial dosage adjustment is necessary for patients with CrCl >= 15 mL/min. Care should be taken when using this agent in patients with end-stage renal disease as the potential effect on siltuximab pharmacokinetics cannot be determined. Clinical monitoring of renal function is recommended.
