Its use is contraindicated in patients with history of serious thrombosis or hemorrhagic events with prior L-asparaginase therapy. It is recommended to exercise caution in patients predisposed to thrombotic or hemorrhagic events. It is recommended to discontinue asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi if thrombotic or hemorrhagic event occur until symptoms resolve.
