Consumer:The effect of renal impairment on the pharmacokinetic disposition of aprotinin has not been fully determined. During clinical trials, mild renal impairment did not substantially alter the elimination of aprotinin. However, aprotinin is primarily eliminated by the kidney and dosage reductions in patients with severe renal dysfunction may be necessary .
