The use of tafamidis in patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Score of 7 to 9) had decreased systemic exposure (approximately 40%) and increased clearance (approximately 68%) when compared to healthy subjects. No clinically significant differences in the pharmacokinetics of tafamidis were observed in patients with mild hepatic impairment (Child Pugh Score of 5 to 6). Use caution when using this agent in patients with severe hepatic impairment as its effect is unknown.
