Sugammadex is substantially excreted by the kidney, and the risk of toxic reactions to this drug may be higher in patients with impaired renal function. Dosage adjustment is not required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. Sugammadex is not recommended for use in patients with severe renal impairment, including those requiring dialysis, due to insufficient safety information combined with the prolonged and increased overall exposure in these patients.
